The Joy of Collaboration: Clinical Lactation Care Across Disciplines– A panel moderated by Ellen Lechtenberg, MPH, RD, IBCLC. Jessica Altemara, IBCLC, Robyn Merkel-Walsh, SLP, Carson Williams, OTR, CE-PIC, Ray Tseng, DDS, Ario Pierre, CLC, and Sylvia Edwards, MS, RN, IBCLC. The panel members will represent their respective disciplines and share how they collaborate to support the breastfeeding dyad. They will also discuss how they know their limits and when to refer a patient in addition to how they stay within their scope of practice.

3-4 pm EST

NLCA president Marsha Walker, RN, IBCLC on Advocating for Lactation Consultants at the Federal Level. She will share information on strategies and objectives in national advocacy and provide examples how we as lactation consultants can participate.
